I will continue to make recurring donations to organizations that I believe are making positive impact in areas of personal importance to me, specifically education and equity & inclusion (especially with regards to sexual orientation and gender identity and expression). I hope to raise the dollar amount of my gifts after graduation as my income increases.
What is a Giving Goal?
Often, the idealism of youth is lost as one achieves success and acquires material possessions later in life. What was originally considered to be “enough” or even “beyond my wildest dreams” can become just another milestone on one’s quest…
Capturing your current vision of how you wish to give of yourself and your resources in the future could help you plan to give more meaningfully. Revisiting this vision in ten or twenty years could provide a reminder of the ideals of your youth that may shape or re-shape your future actions.
If you have already posted your Giving Goal and would like to update your email for future reminders, please contact [email protected]

When I sit down and think about what I would like to give to organizations and how much time I would like to give to them. I would say that around 15 % of my income I wish to give to nonprofit organizations. I also wish to volunteer for them as many times as I can in the year. The organizations that I would like to help the most are the ones that are focused on homes and domestic violence also the other ones that are like to be focused on are animal shelters and animal organizations because. I think that they give a lot to those poor animals and how rough that life can be for them. The values that I’m mostly look in is that they give and try to help the different organizations in them not only helping themselves but also if they do collaborations with others I believe that that’s something very important. And in the values I believe that the most thing that it’s significant for me is that they understand the sensitivity of what they’re working with especially and domestic violence home. I believe it’s something of the little details that it’s the most heart-wrenching and very essential to understand. Apart from giving to the organizations with money, I believe that I could help them with being a volunteer and also using my business brain or my business ability to also help the organization in the administrative part.

Post Giving Goals Statement As I reflect on my journey of giving and the impact I aspire to make in the future, I am compelled to articulate my post giving goals – a vision that will guide my philanthropic efforts and shape my legacy for years to come. Empowering Education: I am committed to supporting initiatives that provide access to quality education for underserved communities around the world. Whether it’s through scholarships, educational infrastructure development, or innovative learning programs, I aim to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive. Promoting Health and Well-being: I believe that everyone deserves access to healthcare and wellness resources that enhance their quality of life. My goal is to invest in healthcare initiatives, mental health awareness programs, and community wellness centers that prioritize preventive care and holistic well-being. Fostering Environmental Sustainability: Protecting our planet for future generations is a responsibility we all share. I am dedicated to supporting environmental conservation efforts, sustainable development projects, and initiatives that combat climate change. By promoting eco-friendly practices and advocating for biodiversity preservation, I aim to leave a greener, healthier planet for future generations. Advancing Social Justice: I am committed to advocating for equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of society. Through supporting organizations that promote social justice, human rights, and equality, I strive to create a more just and inclusive world where every individual is treated with dignity and respect. Cultivating Cultural Enrichment: Recognizing the value of diversity and cultural exchange, I will support initiatives that celebrate and preserve cultural heritage, promote artistic expression, and foster intercultural understanding. By investing in the arts, cultural institutions, and cultural exchange programs, I hope to cultivate a more vibrant and interconnected global community. In revisiting these post giving goals in the years to come, I will be reminded of the values and principles that guide my philanthropic journey. I recognize that the path to meaningful impact may evolve over time, but my commitment to making a positive difference in the world will remain steadfast.

My giving goal revolves around a commitment to contribute meaningfully to the betterment of Puerto Rico’s community through regular donations to local NGOs. Starting with an active engagement in my community, I aim to immerse myself in understanding the diverse needs and impactful initiatives of various nonprofits operating in Puerto Rico. By staying informed and involved, I aspire to continuously grow and contribute to the collective welfare. As part of this journey, I aim to allocate approximately 15%-20% of my monthly income towards supporting these organizations, ensuring that my contributions directly address pressing community needs and foster positive change. Whether through general funds that offer flexibility in allocation or targeted donations to specific organizations, my goal is to make a tangible difference and empower those working tirelessly to uplift our community. Through consistent giving and active participation, I envision playing a meaningful role in driving positive social impact and fostering a more resilient and thriving Puerto Rico.

My giving goal is to donate between $300 and $500 to a different nonprofit each year, depending on the needs I identify as most important at that time. Once I can earn more income depending on the job I do, I will donate 5% to 10% of my income to non-profit organizations. Above all, I want to give quality time to those people or communities who really need it, for example quality time for elderly people living in elderly homes. Additionally, I want to share the concept of philanthropy with others.

My giving goal consists of a vision of continuity, attachment, and most of all developing direct methods to help resolve the countless necessities in our society. One should never be too idealistic nor too realistic, an in between is key to achieving a balanced stated of mind. That’s where I want my giving goal to develop, in a balanced pathway so it will allow me to make the right decisions for the right people. Also not only giving can be measured by money. There’s also time, effort, and hard work to consider, which most of this methods can achieve a grater impact than money can. In many years from now I wish for The Philanthropy Lab to remind me of the importance and significance of the word philanthropy, and the sole reason why I choose this class.
