My giving goal is to do what I can to give back to not only my community but communities across the world. I aim to do so by starting out donating %5 of my income to philanthropic organizations and once I start my career job I plan on increasing this to 10%. I also want to give some of my time volunteering for some organizations whether its cleanups, serving food, Lastly after I build the courage I want to go speak and educate some of these communities even if its to uplift there spirit and motivate them I yearn to be able to offer that to them.

My giving goal is to consistently designate a portion of my time and resources to my community. Currently, I hope to do so through volunteering on a regular basis and making connections with the people and organizations for which I volunteer. In the future, after I have achieved relative financial stability, I hope to include donations of at least 5% of my yearly income to organizations which I deem effective and relevant to both local and international needs. If I begin to earn more than I anticipate in the future, I will increase that percentage accordingly. As I transition from being a student into working full time, I hope to consistently make volunteering a part of my daily life, and integrate it into my responsibilities, no matter how demanding my profession may become.

I pledge to volunteer locally with any extra time I have throughout every month. I plan to spend most of that time volunteering at local gospel missions or family support centers because I feel strongly about alleviating homelessness in Seattle. After graduation and once I gain employment, I plan to start giving any extra income I have to nonprofits.

I pledge to tithe from now on. It’s always been a part of my faith to give at least ten percent of my income. I also pledge to continue to give my time into giving back every month and to help those in need. It’s important to me to give back especially to the communities that raised me. I acknowledge my privilege and responsiblity that come with the agency and education I have.

I pledge to spend my life making the world a better place, including for those who, despite experiencing exceptional marginalization, poverty, and discrimination, continue to be ignored by research, aid, and recognition. I plan to do this by investing in a career that works toward improving the world; by investing monetarily when I am financially secure; and by donating my time and energy in volunteering.

I pledge to serve 10-15 hours a month at a non-profit until I have a salary of over $60,000 a year and have paid off my student debt. Once I have reached this goal, I will give 10% of my income and volunteer around 5 hours a month.
