In response to everything I have to be thankful for, I pledge to give both financially and intellectually to causes I am passionate about. Specifically, I pledge to give 10% of everything I earn to organizations that embody the values of trust, mutual assistance, and intellectual growth. Furthermore, I pledge to give in a way that is not only effective but encouraging. I plan to do this by developing strong relationships with the organizations I invest in and as a result I will be able to serve alongside and lead by example to those in my community. Additionally, I pledge to be generous with my time and energy following medical school and to serve the community using my professional skills.

I pledge to support philanthropies that align with my passions. I will do this by dedicating my time as well as my resources to these organizations. I will give 5% of my income to organizations after graduating law school until my school loans are paid off. I will then increase my giving to philanthropies to 10% of my annual income. Additionally, I pledge to seek out projects I find important and to complete one every five to ten years depending on the size of the projects. Before donating, I pledge to do my due diligence on the organizations I give to. I will study their leadership, financials, and programs to determine if they are an organization I am comfortable supporting beyond just their cause. I pledge to also give four hours per month to volunteering at organizations. I find this especially important as many organizations rely on volunteers to do their work. Additionally, I will not initially be able to give much financially so volunteering is one way I can continue to give back to important causes and better my community.

I pledge to habitually and strategically give 10% of my gross income following graduation. In doing so, I pledge to do this in a responsible manner by practicing due diligence of these philanthropic causes to which I will donate my time, money, and resources. I will not only evaluate their financial health, but I will take into consideration other criteria such as organizational activities, mission statements, board members, future growth, etc. I pledge that as I progress in my career and maintain a more stable income that this percentage proceed to grow as well. I will work earnestly to live with generosity in all aspects of my life knowing that these resources are not my own.

I pledge to give consistently for the rest of my life to philanthropies and causes that I am passionate about. I will make it a priority to support local and international philanthropies with my time, resources and skills. I will always do my best to make the community that I live in, and the world, a better place by helping vulnerable and less fortunate populations.

I pledge to give 10% of my gross income to causes I am passionate about, as well as give my time and non-monetary resources to these causes as I am able to. Once my personal finances are relatively more stable, I plan to increase this percentage as I find organizations and causes that I want to donate to as well. Throughout the course of my life and the class in which I am studying giving, I have come to understand that most of my passions revolve around children who are abused or neglected, as well as education of youths and adults in their many stages of their lives. I pledge to practice due diligence when selecting causes to which I will donate my time, money and resources, evaluating their financial health, board members, organization activities and missions as well as their potential for future growth and community betterment. I also will help people around me who may not know as much about giving to become educated on the variety of measurements that can be taken to evaluate an organization before they donate to a given cause.

I believe positive change starts with an individual, but I also believe that we are stronger together than apart. For this reason, I pledge to begin giving 5% of my income upon graduation. As my income grows more stable, I hope to increase this amount to 10%. As time progresses, I will continue evaluating and giving consistently as I am able. I choose to give because I feel strongly about the missions of equitable education and healthcare and their intersections into quality of life for all. In addition to causes of this nature, I pledge to do my research into other worthy causes that align with my values in order to determine where my gifts can be used both positively and effectively. Furthermore, I believe in the power of service in the community and what the influence of given time in addition to given money can do. For this reason, I pledge to consistently and open-heartedly give my time by continuing to do service once a week.
