My goal is to commit to giving 10% of what I have available every month, whether it’s financial resources or physical effort. Alongside this, I’m dedicated to researching my community, wherever I reside, to identify pressing issues and the nonprofits addressing them, and then actively contribute my energy towards those causes. Moreover, I recognize the significance of seemingly “small” acts of philanthropy, such as picking up litter or donating even five dollars when that’s all I have available to give. I aim to embody the “pay it forward“ mentality, understanding that every contribution, regardless of size, has the potential to create meaningful impact and inspire others to do the same.
What is a Giving Goal?
Often, the idealism of youth is lost as one achieves success and acquires material possessions later in life. What was originally considered to be “enough” or even “beyond my wildest dreams” can become just another milestone on one’s quest…
Capturing your current vision of how you wish to give of yourself and your resources in the future could help you plan to give more meaningfully. Revisiting this vision in ten or twenty years could provide a reminder of the ideals of your youth that may shape or re-shape your future actions.
If you have already posted your Giving Goal and would like to update your email for future reminders, please contact [email protected]

My giving pledge is to give back a portion of my time talents and resources post-graduation. I have a desire to give in a way that encourages others who may be in a financial situation like myself to continue pushing through the obstacles for a college degree. I will give my time to mentor and pour into individuals who need help with the higher education process. I will also plan to start a scholarship post-graduation in honor of my son who passed away while I was on this journey. I will give on an annual basis a scholarship gift to support a student in need.

My giving goal is to research, volunteer, and intentionally invest into local organizations throughout our lifetime. I pledge to do so through meaningful outreach and donation of my skills and talents. When I am capable and able, I pledge to consistently give financially to these organizations on a quarterly basis. I will continue to educate and engage in local philanthropic efforts to bolster my knowledge of local efforts. I pledge to diversify my giving while being open to new philanthropic avenues and missions. I will strive to spread the importance of philanthropy and giving to friends and companions.

My giving goal is to research, volunteer, and intentionally invest into local organizations throughout my lifetime. I pledge to do so through meaningful outreach and donation of my skills and talents. As I hope to complete law school and become an attorney, I pledge to donate my time and take pro bono cases when I am able. When capable and able, I pledge to consistently give financially to these organizations on a quarterly basis. After establishing income and a budget once I graduate, I will decide on a specific percentage to donate on the quarterly basis. I will continue to educate and engage in local philanthropic efforts to bolster my knowledge of local efforts, while also encouraging family and friends to do the same. I pledge to diversify my giving while being open to new philanthropic avenues and missions, as well as attending events to support local nonprofit organizations.

My giving goal is to continue improving the well-being of humankind by dedicating my time, talent, and treasures to philanthropic endeavors. My life has been impacted by acts of service, and I vow to continue paying it forward. I pledge to serve my community through TCU leadership roles that create pathways to serve our community and volunteer in the organizations that I serve. Once I graduate from my MSW program, I will provide pro bono group therapy through my LCDC. Additionally, I commit to offering a specific number of pro bono hours once I begin my career as a therapist. I will continue to tithe to my church and the “needs fund” and support organizations that provide second chances. In the future, I aim to give to organizations that provide scholarships and support in the same way that I have had my life impacted. It is because of philanthropic efforts that I get to live this amazing life, and it is such an honor to continue these efforts. Additionally, I have been giving time, talent, and treasures since 2016 and plan to increase my financial contributions once I establish myself in my career. Service is my love language, and I look forward to continuing this giving journey.

I would like to split my giving equally between both monetary resources and my time. I pledge to give a minimum of 5% of my post-tax income annually, as well as spending a minimum of one day biweekly volunteering for a nonprofit of my choosing. I also pledge to keep myself informed on local issues that impact my community, and, in turn, pledge to try to alleviate certain problems that I deem I am able to make a difference in. I pledge to have an overall mission or desired outcome when I volunteer my salary or my time, and keep a diverse portfolio on whom or where I give to.
