The United Religious Community established the Refugee RESET planning committee in early 2021 to prepare for a refugee resettlement office in the community. Following ‘consultation’ meetings with local officials, leaders, school officials, and many others. URC submitted a proposal to Church World Service (CWS) to begin welcoming arriving refugees in FY 2022.
