The Stanford University Spring 2015 Class’s evaluation found their $15,000 grant to 826 Valencia to be a success because of its ability to inspire creativity within many stduents and further their skills. In Spring 2017, the class awarded an additional $5,000 to the organization to assist with expansion to a new Mission Bay site. 826 Valencia supports students aged six to 18 with writing, tutoring, and publishing programs. It also promotes the intertwining of art, education, and the California immigration experience. This grant provided funding for these various programs to continue the education of students within the organization.
