How are you, man? Hopefully life is going great. The goals you set out before you made a single buck were as such: I would like at least a commitment of 1 month and at least 2 hours per week as requirements for this goal. My long term goal is concerning donations. This is more of a promise to myself that, in the long term, once I have hopefully achieved a certain amount of financial liberty, I will remember to give. My religion states that I have to give away 25% of my earnings every year to the poor and needy, and sticking to that will be hard, but can certainly change lives. The community that was in most suffering at the time of writing was the citizens of Palestine in Gaza. They had not received enough saline to help children, let alone all the injured civilians there. Has that gotten better? Have you made it any better? All UN reports and journalists are currently calling the famine there “imminent.” How has that changed? Have you made it any better? You stated that you wanted a goal that concerns people in genuine need and progress is directly trackable. Have you found that? Have you kept towards that? Do NOT waver off the 25% giving goal. That will be the most actionable and effective tool you will have. Make sure you give it to proponents of good in this world. And please commit 1 month of every year to a couple of hours of service. Let’s see how long this can stand the test of time.
What is a Giving Goal?
Often, the idealism of youth is lost as one achieves success and acquires material possessions later in life. What was originally considered to be “enough” or even “beyond my wildest dreams” can become just another milestone on one’s quest…
Capturing your current vision of how you wish to give of yourself and your resources in the future could help you plan to give more meaningfully. Revisiting this vision in ten or twenty years could provide a reminder of the ideals of your youth that may shape or re-shape your future actions.
If you have already posted your Giving Goal and would like to update your email for future reminders, please contact [email protected]

My goal would be providing support services to underserve communities, and also providing services for reentry. I am committed to assisting people who come from marginalized communities and are dealing with the challenges around being system impacted and dealing with poverty homelessness and food insecurity in hopes of helping them make a successful transition back into the community.

My giving goal is to give back to marginalized communities in regards to mental health especially for adolescents. I would also like to bridge the gap between minorities and education.

My giving goal includes continuing my passion for expanding alternative education opportunities for youth through volunteering and donations. Specifically, youth obtaining free access to targeted mentorship within sectors such as Pre Med, Pre Law, fine arts, finance, public policy/administration and international affairs through nuanced technical and social non-profit programs. Allowing middle school and high school students the ability to thrive and build momentum in high school, college and professionally but most importantly the ability to give the tools back to their communities. I plan on doing this through volunteer work and fund raising throughout my undergrad and grad school years and then full time in corporate philanthropy 5-10 years down the line.
