I am setting a giving goal using a portfolio approach. I plan to allocate my annual giving across three categories: 50% to organizations that correspond with my passions, like music and arts education programs; 30% to responsive giving, and 20% to experimental initiatives, supporting higher-risk or lower-funded organizations that I feel are doing important work. I think this approach will allow me to serve all my philanthropy goals. I plan to donate 6% of my salary after graduation.
