A by-the-numbers look at how NYU served communities in NYC and beyond this summer and fall 2023

Whether
helping migrants with asylum applications, hosting workouts in Washington Square Park with Sweat for Vets (pictured above), or engaging in service learning coursework with local schools and nonprofits, NYUers are constantly renewing and expanding NYU’s commitment to being “a private university in the public service.” Through hundreds of outreach and engagement efforts by students, faculty, and staff, NYU contributes thousands of hours—and dollars—in service to our surrounding communities each semester. Below are just a few highlights from summer and fall 2023.
