Root Nashville is an initiative led by a public-private partnership between Metro Nashville and the Cumberland River Compact. Root Nashville’s operations are run by the Cumberland River Compact team. They aim to plant 500,000 trees in Nashville and other areas of Davidson County in an effort to decrease air pollution, protect the river basin and educate community members about future environmentally-friendly jobs and opportunities.
